My Webdesign bag of Tips and Tricks

Website designers are always looking somewhere for inspiration, for that fresh new webdesign look and feel, that new feature that will so heavily become an integrated part of the web. I know personally everywhere I look, everything I see can be incorporated into webdesign somehow.

Here's some fun items to think about for you webdesign:

• If you are going in the direction of a natural site, choose earth tone colors in your webdesign. Take a picture of a tree, use a close up of the bark with a slight opacity as a page background, then half of the tree in the content body, maybe as a silhouette, then, to tie the webdesign all together, use a very small tree as an icon and favicon (the little graphic in the browser bar). While you are creating your web design, try being in a very green are with lots of nature and trees to inspire you.
• Now, if the webdesign is an urban theme, start with a gritty concrete wall as a starting point. Find some paint splatters and work them in using opacity. Maybe place your company name in the background so in starts to unify the webdesign and theme. Try something like an Olde English font for links and Arial for a nice crisp accompaniment. Try creating your webdesign in a very urban area to inspire the moment.
